Come for a meal hosted by an artist, inviting you to think and talk together. Each meal starts with a short performance or provocation to get the conversation going — and the rest is up to you. Be our guests at a meal with a difference and stick around afterwards for a programme of evening gatherings in a relaxed and informal atmosphere.

Sarah Rose Graber (US/UK) | 5 Aug

Sarah Rose Graber is a multidisciplinary theatre artist. Sarah invites us to talk about serendipity, and the ways we can make conditions that allow for serendipity to occur.

Evalyn Parry (Canada) | 6 Aug

Evalyn Parry is an award- winning, queer feminist performance-maker and artistic director of Buddies in Bad Times Theatre. Evalyn invites us to consider together our personal connections to land.

Greg Hill (Canada) | 8 Aug

Greg Hill is a Kanyen’kehaka (Mohawk) member of the Six Nations of the Grand River Territory, and an artist. His work explores aspects of colonialism, nationalism, and concepts of place and community through the lens of his Kanyen’kehaka and French-Canadian ancestry.

Serge Aimé Coulibaly (Burkina Faso) | 9 Aug

Serge Aimé Coulibaly is a dancer and choreographer from Burkina Faso, whose production Kalakuta Republic is part of this year’s International Festival programme.

David Loumgair (Scotland/UK) | 10 Aug

David Loumgair is a theatre director, dramaturg and socio-economic diversity advisor from Scotland. David will host a conversation about class dynamics, power and privilege in the creative industries.

Hema Palani (India) | 12 Aug

Hema Palani is an award-winning choreographer and dancer. Palani is the Rehearsal Director at the Attakkalari Centre for Movement Arts, Bengaluru, where she also works as a choreographer, teacher, and performing artist with the Attakkalari Repertory Company.

Paul Barritt (UK) | 13 Aug

Paul Barritt is a film-maker, animator and illustrator, and co-founder of award-winning theatre company 1927 whose production Roots is part of the You Are Here programme.

Edinburgh Futures Institute (UK) | 15 Aug

The Edinburgh Futures Institute combines expertise from across the University of Edinburgh with thinking from the arts, civil society, business and the community to solve real world problems. The audience are invited to explore your own utopia: how do you create a good place?

Inua Ellams (Nigeria/UK) | 17 Aug

Born in Nigeria, Inua Ellams is a poet, playwright & performer, graphic artist & designer. Inua invites us all to think and talk about the climate crisis.

Seeta Patel and Lina Limosani (India/Australia) | 19 Aug

Born in London, Seeta is the UK’s leading classical Bharatanatyam artist, raising the profile and excellence of the form. Lina Limosani is a performing artist and choreographer based in Australia.

Ifeoma Fafunwa (Nigeria) | 20 Aug

Ifeoma Fafunwa is the founder and creative director of iOpenEye, a Nigerian production company driving social change through performance art. Her work HEAR WORD! will be performed at this year’s Festival.

Missy Mazzoli (US) | 22 Aug

Missy Mazzoli was recently deemed “one of the more consistently inventive, surprising composers now working in New York” (The New York Times). Missy will explore the nature of goodness, loyalty and the role of faith in our world and our art-making.

Oona Doherty (Ireland) | 23 Aug

Oona Doherty is a dance artist based in Northern Ireland, performing Dance Theatre internationally since 2010. Oona will host a conversation about class, place and gender. 

Travis Alabanza (UK) | 24 Aug

Travis Alabanza is a performer, writer and theatre maker. Their unique mixture of performance, poetry, style, political views and risk-taking performances has given them a unique placement both nationally and internationally.
